An Eyeful

I love this picture of my Hunk #1 ! Miss L was taking some more senior pix for him and she was kind enough to let me take a few! This was last Thursday ... in Boulder City.

Here's a cute wall hanging I made last year...
the squares are topstitched on and it has raw edges.
You wash it and the edges fray... Love It!

an enigma

My brother asked me to design a quilt for a fundraiser/silent auction for the Timothy School - which caters to kids with autism. The 'puzzle pieces' are a symbol of autism... not sure what the symbolism is, but I know it's something, lol.

The top is just about finished and I will post a picture of the completed top. My girlfriend at www.froggybottomquilting.blogspot.com is going to quilt the top for me, and put something special in the middle.

I hope it will bring in some money for the school! The top will measure approx. 60" x 60". Not too big, not too small.

Boyz will be... busy!

It's been a super busy week here! Actually, a super busy year so far!
Hunk #1 had 2 track meets this week - today's lasted 7 hrs! He was pretty beat at the end...

Running the 4 x 4

Hunk #2 had his debut in the school play, as one of the leading roles!

Mr. Boddy in Clue!

It was a musical and he was AWESOME!

His dad and I are so proud of him!

And it was Hunk #1 who actually did him in!

Professor Plum, Col. Mustard, Mr. Green, and Mr. Boddy!

These beautiful blue flowers just seem to jump out at me... they are gerber daisies.
The photo is sooc - f/5 1/60
When the picture is enlarged on the computer screen it is beautiful!
These are also gerber daisies, given to me by our friends Tim & Debi. These are so unique - the petals are tubular, man! No, really, they loop around and seal in the front.
They love the sunshine.
f/4.5 1/500
Here's a shot of the front wall. The lantana is creeping up the antique gate and is neighboring the blue and white gerbers.

Fun....

Last Saturday we spent a good part of the day with my mother-in-law and brother-in-law. They live only 8 miles away, but still we don't see each other that often. Hubby goes over quite a bit, but the rest of us don't seem to get there as much.

We took some goodies over and made sandwiches to share. We also shared Key Lime Pie and Lemon Meringue Pie. Yummm!

We went for a long hike above their home in S. Henderson. Hunk#1 stayed behind to visit with his uncle. Hunks 2 & 3 abandoned the hike halfway into it. Hunk 4, Chicklet, hubby & I finished it! Whew!

What a day!

Wedding Photos

Time goes on...

So much for keeping up with the daily posts of our life in photos! It's been busy! I've been so busy taking photos and editing them, but no time to post them!
Chicklet liked her dress so much, she suggested we make another one for our little friend AR who was turning 5. So we did and we LOVE it! It was much easier the 2nd time around...

This week is Spring Break. We've had some fun times and I hope to document some of them on here. Here's a run down...

Assisted photographing a wedding, went to a bday party, went bowling w/ family, played w/ friends, worked, assisted at a shoot for a newborn, played w/ friends, took boys to play indoor glow-in-the-dark putt putt golf, went to meetings, worked, etc.

We spent time with the Lord this week during Holy Week. Never can spend enough with Him. We prayed to him for healing for our friends - Marguerite & her surgery and Sven w/ his newly diagnosed jv diabetes. Praying for complete success w/ my surgery next week....

So as I can, I will upload some photos from this past week. Hope to get outside today at some point to play with the kids.
