Fall Wall Hanging #2

I made this cute wall hanging this weekend.. to sell on Etsy.  It's @ 18" x 40" and is sooo pretty! I love the colors!

I went to my neighbor's house to borrow a candle & ended up using her table for the photo.

Made another one tonight, more scrappy.  Will try to get a picture on tomorrow sometime...

be blessed!

Dslr straps

Here's 2 sets of straps for a dslr camera. I started these a few months ago, but finished tonight. The unique thing about these straps is I have made pockets on the backside of each strap for memory cards. Each strap has 2 pockets. One side would be for new cards, one for used. It will make things so much easier when shooting... you don't have to search all your pockets, camera bag, etc for a new card.

I like the perky colors!

Handsome, if I do say so myself!

I think he looks very handsome in that uniform!
I just spent 3 precious days with hunk #1 in Annapolis, Md!
Parents' Weekend - God bless the USNA for allowing the parents to come and see for themselves that their kids are OK!
He is in his element here. Highly competitive, yet no individualism allowed. 'There's no such thing as an individual in the Navy.'

I know he is where God wants him to be. I just want him with me. (most the time... but he'd have to live down the road a mile or so)
;-)
I love him!

Sunset in the desert

The sunset last night was amazing. We had storm clouds coming in from the northeast and southeast. This was over by Mt. Charleston, to the west. We had some pretty awesome lightning later in the evening, and some rain in the middle of the night.

Fall Wall Hanging

Here is a cute little wall hanging I made this past week. It was for my sister-in-law, Janet. She had a monumental birthday in May, and I thought she might like this.

Busy Hands are Good!

Busy hands are good!  Whether they are mine, yours, or someone elses, busy hands are good!  They create.  They move.  They produce.  They bless.  They clean.  They cook.  They pat babies backs.  They fix.

The picture above shows the product of busy hands painting!
Hands have been mixing paint, putting it on rollers and brushes, and painting my bedroom walls!
... and they say miracles don't happen anymore ;-)

Busy hands made this little chenille baby quilt pictured above.  They weren't my busy hands, I don't even know who's busy hands made this.  My busy, frugal shopping hands found it at the thrift store.  It's a handmade chenille baby quilt. It's about 42" x 36", and in perfect condition!  I'll put it on Etsy!

These 2 bags are called ZipIt bags.  I had the pattern earmarked in a magazine for a year or so.  My dear friend at http://www.froggybottomquilting.blogspot.com/ saw the pattern online the other day and mentioned it to me.   I thought, I have seen that pattern somewhere!
I found it and got my busy hands right to work.  The white tropical bag is made of outdoor fabric.  The red bag is oilcloth.  We are giving that to a little friend for her birthday... and will fill it with some little personal beauty items fit for a little girl!

So now these busy hands need to get moving....
